Apple World Wide Developer Conference 2013

Apple has confirmed today that its World Wide Developer Conference 2013 (WWDC) will take place from Jun 10th until 14th at Moscone in San Francisco. I might be there to cover the conference this year. Tickets are set to go on sales tomorrow at 10:00 am PDT.

Update :

Within less than 2 min all WWDC tickets are sold out. I bought a ticket, and I’m going to be there to cover the conference.

Developing iOS Apps – Set up

What will you need to start developing iOS Apps ? well. First, you will need a Mac computer running Mac OS X 10.5 (leopard) or higher. Older versions don’t support iOS development. Second, you will need to download the latest version of Xcode from Apps Store click here to download. The iOS SDK is included with Xcode so you won’t need to download it. Finally, you will need to join iOS Developer Program. It is $99 per year click here to register . If you would like to register as a company you will need to provide some official documents.

How to Take a screenshot on Mac OS X

As a blogger I take a lot of screenshots on my Mac. Today I would like to share with you three ways to take a screenshot on your Mac.

Command+Shift+3

It captures a screenshot of your entire screen.

Command+Shift+4

You can drag to select a portion of your screen to capture.

Command+Shift+4 , then Space , then click on a window

Click on the desired window to take a screenshot.

Developing iOS Apps – Introduction

What does iOS stand for ?

iOS stands for iPhone Operating System. It is a mobile operating system developed and distributed by Apple. It released in 2007 for iPone and iPod touch . It has been extended to support other Apple’s devices like iPad and Apple TV.

What is iOS SDK ?

iOS SDK is Software Development Kit for IOS.  It is a set of tools, frameworks and compilers that allow creation of iOS Apps.

What is Xcode ?

Xcode is Apple’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE). It provides tools to manage your entire development workflow such as creating, designing user interface, testing, optimizing, and shipping your iOS Apps.

What is Objective-C ?

Objective-C is an object-oriented language that uses to develop iOS Apps. You need to understand this language in order to use iOS frameworks.

How to use Youtube’s Video Editor

The Video Editor is a free tool on Youtube that allows you to edit your own uploaded clips and others to produce a new video. With the Video Editor you can combine multiple videos and images, add soundtrack and customize clips with special tools and effects.

To access the Video Editor go to http://www.youtube.com/editor and log in to your Youtube account.
